Posted by qmresearchers in Career Ideas, Interesting Job Adverts.

For those of you that are looking to work outside of academia after their PhD or postdoc, gaining work experience in the relevant sector is crucial.

Working in policy is one way to use some of the knowledge and experience that you have gained from a PhD or postdoctoral.  With this in mind, the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology (POST) are currently advertising a number of internships. Schemes such as these will give you an insight into the sector and help to build contacts for your future career. So if you are a PhD chemist, psychologist or food scientist, it is well worth looking at and applying for these current schemes.
