The Blizard Institute’s Career Development Talks May 1, 2012

If you are an SBCS PhD student you may be interested in The Blizard Institute Career Development talks. These are a great way to explore careers beyond academia.

On 10 May Dr Doug Brown, Head of Biomedical Research at the Multiple Sclerosis society, will be speaking on Science Administration and Management. Doug manages the MS Society’s Biomedical Research portfolio consisting of over 19m worth of research. It’s Doug’s job to secure collaborative funding partnerships and to ensure the research stays on track. Having taken a PhD at Cambridge followed by over three years of postdoctoral research Doug is well-placed to advise PhD students on making the transition from research to jobs beyond academia.  If you’d like to find out more the talk takes place at:
